Marian Jesien was born in Miechow in 1959.He graduated from elementary
school and then went to Łysa Góra near Tarnów, where he studied at the
Ceramics Technical School as a student of Stanisław Moskała. From his
youth, he was passionate about painting.For 17 years he worked at the
Ceramic Cooperative of Folk and Artistic Handicrafts “Kafel” in
Mydlniki.
He is one of the few who continues the profession of ceramic artist.
In his studio, unique tiles and tiles are made, which go to old
historic tenement houses, as an addition to existing furnaces or
walls. His ceramic rosettes and stove tiles can also be found in the
Royal Wawel Castle, as well as at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
Painting has been his passion for years. He paints flowers, landscapes
and animals.
His works are in private collections in the country and
abroad. He had two exhibitions in France and Germany.
Marian Jesień combined his profession of ceramics with painting
passion and prepared unusual, rare works. These are paintings painted
with glaze on ceramic tiles and then fired in an oven.
